Monica Förster was born in Stockholm and grew up in Dorotea
in Lapland. Monica Förster graduated from Beckmans School of
Design in Stockholm in 1995. She is one of the most renowned
designers in the world of Swedish furniture design. She has
chosen to work both as a designer and as an international ambassador
for Scandinavian design. Last year at the furniture fair in
Milan she received much attention for the room installation
Cloud. Monica Förster has been awarded with Excellent Swedish
Design, Design Plus and was represented in The International
Design Yearbook 2000. Today she lives in Stockholm and works
for companies such as David Design, Offecct, Skruf and The
